Responsibilities included sending casting requests, setting up studios, signing in and photographing models, organising model boards, chasing options from agents, scheduling fittings and confirming models including sending out invoice details, call sheets and balancing budgets. I liaised with the various agencies and developed good relationships with the agents, so too with clients as we discussed their options and ideas. I was responsible for two interns, delegating tasks to them and overseeing their work. I assisted Lynne O’Neill and her team with the production of eleven shows over fashion week. My responsibilities included liaising with designers, model agencies and casting directors of each show, keeping track of the arrival of models and their progress through hair and makeup, organising and maintaining a smooth the run of show, knowing which models had changes and ensuring their speedy return, and lining up and running the finale. Remembering faces and names was of utmost importance and I was able to apply the communications skills that I acquired while casting to production. I was responsible for liaising with clients and agents prior to casting and processing bookings. I organised casting days, from travel, accommodation and studio booking to checking-in and photographing models and collating their images. Interned at LOVE magazineLiaising with press offices and designers; I developed persuasive people skills in order to obtain garments for shoots free of charge.Conducted extensive solo research and organisation for shoots including finding and securing locations, confirming transport to and from shoots for people, garments and equipment, was responsible for taking care of items and recording their use, whereabouts and returning them.Assisted online editor with copy writing for LOVE website and in coming up with and effecting projects such as calendars and competitions. I also had many administrative responsibilities such as filing, photocopying, scanning and researching historical shoots in Vogue House library for editor-in-chief. Assisted editor in chief Katie Grand on shoots with Tim Walker and David Sims, including the Miley Cyrus cover shoot for the 11th issue.
