Working with National Mission for Clean Ganga, Ministry of Jal Shakti. Insight of works handled: • Nodal Officer for the NGT Matter regarding the remedial action/ rejuvenation of the 351 polluted river stretches in 31 States/ UTs of India, the matter being reviewed monthly by Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti. Coordinated with 31 States for preparation of State Profile Dossiers, Monthly Progress Reports. Submitted 3 Quarterly Reports in NGT, which covers details of sewerage generation in 33 States/UTs in India including details of the existing and proposed infrastructure. With regular follow-up, the quality of data being submitted by the States have improved and ensured that number of sewerage infrastructure projects have been completed in a time bound manner, resulting in better water quality being reported in the identified stretches. • Assisted in preparation of Concept Note on sub theme of Water Security - “River Conservation and Rejuvenation”, which will be presented by Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti to Prime Minister of India.

Working with National Mission for Clean Ganga, Ministry of Jal Shakti.• Assisting the team with regard to the Maily se Nirmal Yamuna Revitalization Project (NGT Matter). Including coordination and circulation of the proposal to the expert members of the Principal Committee chaired by Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti, reviewing the proposal based on the reports of Expert Committee and various NGT orders, inspection of the proposed sites and preparation of the site inspection reports. • Managing the technical-legal matters. Coordination with the States, different government agency – CPCB, DDA, DJB, compilation and review of the information received from the States, preparation of presentations, inspection reports, technical report and affidavits for submission in Hon’ble NGT. Provided secretarial assistance to the Committees constituted under the Chairmanship of Secretary, DoWR,RD&GR by Hon’ble NGT. • Inspection of drains, river floodplains and STPs for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.• Coordination with the 5 Ganga States in preparation of Action Plans for pollution abatement of River Ganga and its tributaries.• Assisted in the projects being carried out in collaboration with CPCB - namely Water Quality Monitoring Systems for River Ganga, Pollution Inventorization Assessment Surveillance and Strengthening of Environmental Regulators.

Working with National Mission for Clean Ganga, Ministry of Jal Shakti.• Creating and managing knowledge resources, including analysis of diverse data sets relevant to management of the Ganga Basin. Inventorization of STPs and GPIs in 7 Ganga Basin States including Delhi and Haryana. Marking of the STPs on Google Earth Platform. This assisted the nodal officers dealing with the States in NMCG for better planning, as consolidated information was not available with NMCG at that time. • Prepared summary of the DPRs received for I&D with STP for Srinagar, Joshimath, Kirtinagar, Chamoli-Gopeshwar, Srikot-Gangnali, Karnaprayag & Rudraprayag.• Part of Preliminary discussions related to development of Crematoria along the river. • Handled project regarding manual water quality monitoring by 4 institutes (BHEL, IIT Kanpur, Patna University, BCKV) along River Ganga. • Pending payments for the manual water quality monitoring carried out by the 4 institutes for the years 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 were cleared in 2016 after consistent follow-up.• Brief engagement in the Industrial pollution projects (Jajmau CETP and Philkuwa CETP), Research and Innovative projects, UNDP project - Rural sanitation initiatives for Ganga Rejuvenation in Jharkhand.• Providing technical inputs and feasibility assessment of various innovative research projects and proposals from various National and International Research/ Academic institute. • Participation and organizing various webinar workshops, seminars and round-tables events.
