Work with vascular surgeon and hospitalist at Winter Haven hospital. Responsible for the management of post operative care of thoracic surgery patients, as well as assist with the management of patients with vascular conditions such as peripheral artery disease, venous insufficiency, venous and arterial ulcers. Responsible for covering hospitalists' patients and assist with patient admissions and discharges. Assess, order diagnostic testing, prescribe, and manage the care of patients with acute and chronic illnesses within scope of practice.

Interview patients and obtain health histories during physical and developmental assessments in an Internal medicine clinic. Order appropriate diagnostic test and diagnose client problems in order to manage the care of each patient. Treat acute and chronic conditions, and women's health. Educate and counsel patients on health issues and chronic illness. Work with physician on providing optimal care and fullfilly HEDIS Quality Measures.

Order appropriate diagnostic test and diagnose client problems in order to manage the care of each patient. Treat acute and chronic primary care conditions; educate and counsel patients on health issues and chronic illness. Consult with supervising physician as needed.

Perform physical, emotional, nutritional and medical evaluation of Chronic Kidney Disease patients in renal disease clinic and dialysis units. Review monthly and quarterly labs of all dialysis patients to include nutritional status, renal osteodystrophy, Hemoglobin A1c, lipid panels, and TSH. Provide education, primary care, and medication management for dialysis patients with comorbidities such as diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypothyroidism, secondary hyperparathyroidism and hypertension. Assist physician in hospital rounds and consults as needed. Supervise in the administration of Erythropoiesis-Stimulating Agents and responsible for adjusting dose to maintain optimum patient care.

Responsibilities include the care of cardiac patients and patients with multisystem complications. Supervision of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), nursing assistants/technicians. Unit preceptor for new employees and new graduate nurses.

Responsibilities include managing the care of tuberculosis exposed inmates and Hepatitis C inmates during treatment for side effects, complications, and laboratory results and provide therapy counseling. Perform duties that include pulmonary function test, audiograms, electrocardiograms, and vaccinations. Also triage inmates in emergencies, and assist physicians with the care of acute patients.
