Ruby Ross is the founder of CHC AGRITECH AFRICA, a startup focused on building rural communities in Africa, starting with Nigeria, through knowledge sharing on Agricultural innovation for sustainable agriculture using eco-friendly solutions ( Microbiome Technology)for African farmers.With a decade of experience as a public servant in the Office of the Governor of Zamboanga Sibugay and Office of Congresswoman Ann K. Hofer, Ruby Ross has gained insights into community development in diverse sectors.In Nigeria, she pioneered Microbiome Technology and, through CHC AGRITECH AFRICA, has trained thousands of farmers, improving their productivity.The company's probiotics-based products are eco-friendly, cost-effective, fast-acting, and easy-to-use, enabling farmers to produce more yield, grow highly exportable crops without compromising the environment's health and safety.In her formative years, Ruby Ross, a fervent supporter of scientific exploration, was inspired by her time at the Regional Science High School, where her team received recognition for their research endeavors as a young Researcher. Additionally, she played a leadership role within the Zamboanga Peninsula Young Workers Association of the Department of Labor and Employment. Furthermore, Ruby benefited from sponsorship by the International Labour Organization (ILO) for numerous leadership training initiatives.Ruby's commitment to sustainable development goals (SDG 2, 8 & 13) for African farmers especially women and youth in agriculture (SDG 5) is evident as her venture aims to reach 2 million farmers (SDG 1) in the next five years through capacity building, technology transfer training, demonstrations, farm consultations and community involvement (SDG 11)With a background in Economics and Project Management equipped with trainings on Agroecology, nutritional immunology, and community development, she has a strong passion to create impact on Food Security, Environmental Care and Poverty Alleviation.Ruby Ross, part of an esteemed cohort of 47 Fellows selected from a pool of 2,210 applicants across 15 countries, now stands among the distinguished alumni of the Watson Institute Western Union Foundation Fellowship.
