At the Anna Freud Centre, my role as Internal Communications Lead required me to work with colleagues across the organisation, coordinating communications across divisions and working to ensure the voice and perspectives of colleagues are heard, and acted upon. Assistant Director
My position as Assistant Director for Explore Learning's North Cheam centre was varied and demanding. My roles included managing the rota for our part- time staff, monitoring their pay scales and adjusting when required through regular appraisals. Additionally I often managed the tuition centre by myself, and so am able to supervise various members of staff as well as over 100 children throughout the day. I also had roles in marketing and recruitment, which were demanding and fulfilling. The role of manager resulted in me achieving a St John's Ambulance Paediatric First Aid certificate, as well as an awareness of Ofsted regulations and Safeguarding procedures. My position in Explore Learning required me to attend several training days as part of my ongoing self- development programme, and so I have covered staff management, advanced marketing training as well as other sales and communication based areas of focus.The position has expanded my understanding of childcare, education of children between the ages of 4 and 14 years, and team work.
