I’m Ruby Swain and am looking to further my career in the film industry.Beginning my career as an actor in TV commercials, short films, and stage productions, I developed a deep appreciation for storytelling. This led me to pursue a Bachelor of Screen Production at The Australian Film, Television and Radio School, where I honed my skills and knowledge of the craft. It was during my studies where I learned the basics of screen writing, directing, cinematography, sound design and producing. Transitioning into directing, I directed short films, and a reality TV series, leveraging my understanding of narrative structure and visual storytelling to create compelling content.As Head of Production Design on numerous short films, I brought creative visions to fruition, ensuring each project reflected a cohesive aesthetic. Additionally, I have contributed my expertise as a runner, production design assistant, and makeup artist across various feature films, commercials, and short films.My contributions have been recognised in esteemed festivals such as Flickerfest and international film festivals, underscoring my commitment to quality and creativity in every project I undertake.My most notable and favourite project was at Disney Studios, where I worked in the greens department for the film "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes”. Where I gained invaluable experience in large-scale production environments. It was here that I fine-tuned my attention to detail and collaborative skills.With each project, I aim to push boundaries, captivate audiences, and leave a lasting impression on the world of film. And with boundless creativity and unwavering passion, I'm excited to continue this journey into whatever project comes next!
