As an auditor in government accounting and nonprofit entities following GASB and FASB, my primary role is to ensure that financial statements are accurate, reliable, and comply with the relevant accounting standards. I review financial records, transactions, and other relevant documents to verify that they have been appropriately recorded and disclosed in the financial statements. Additionally, I assess the internal controls of the organization to identify any weaknesses that could impact the financial reporting process. I work closely with management and staff to address any issues identified during the audit and provide recommendations for improvement. In addition, I stay up-to-date with changes in government accounting regulations and provide technical expertise to clients as needed. Ultimately, my goal is to provide assurance to stakeholders that the financial statements fairly represent the financial position and results of the operations of the organization.
