Global Senior Manager: Creative Content
Driving storytelling and original content across Burberry's complete network of campaign channels, I compose and lead multi-disciplinary teams to develop award-winning, narrative driven creativity that embeds Burberry in the heart of contemporary culture worldwide.
Creative Lead: Campaigns & Partnerships
As my team's remit has grown to encompass Partnerships across Content, Editorial and emerging Social platforms, we have accelerated our innovation tactics across global campaign channels. Highlights have included:— Energising Burberry's social-first content strategy with a new stream of CGI product stories and dedicated campaigns for Douyin and Tiktok, the first time either had been integrated into the core delivery of a campaign.— Uniting Brand Ambassador Marcus Rashford with visual artist Jazz Grant in Manchester, UK to create physical storytelling with deep community meaning, extending the youth initiative at the heart of our 2020 Festive campaign.— Pushing our disruptive physical media strategy to new heights with a 3-part series of global landscape installations executed simultaneously in locations across the US, UK, China and the Middle East, forming a 360 social campaign celebrating our iconic monogram pattern and origin story in the outdoors.— Establishing Burberry's new era of music with a 7-part content partnership series working across global regions, publishers and genres to explore the contrast and contradiction of local music scenes with artists including Pa Salieu, Shabjdeed and Snoh Allegra.Across the board we exceeded targets in earned media, continuing to produce some of the brand's highest performing social content, and exemplified adaptability in localised campaign strategy across APAC, the Americas and EMEA. Testament to the huge collaborative effort of our hybrid creative and media team, I was peer-nominated for a Burberry Icon award for Creative Excellence in December 2020.
Senior Designer: Creative Media
I led the Campaigns and Partnerships team within Burberry's Global Creative Media Department. Working closely with marketing and other cross-functional creative teams, I developed the brand’s seasonal campaigns for 360 platforms — covering digital, physical and social media — as well as briefing and developing new content with publishing partners such as Nowness, The New York Times, HighSnobiety, Hypebeast and Dazed, to create new narratives embedding Burberry collections in a cultural context. In addition to this I led creative for CGI and WebGL experiences across Burberry platforms, partnering with technologists at Google and Facebook to develop 3D and AR activations that pushed Burberry's innovative digital reputation into a new era.
Judge: Art Direction
Judge for Art Direction in the D&AD Professional Industry Awards in 2019 & 2022.
Design Community Lead
Wolff Olins is a global brand consultancy known for transforming businesses and cultural institutions visually and strategically. In addition to my design role there, I coordinated and hosted a recurring programme of cross-industry Design Meetings, featuring leading figures from the field of digital, fashion, brand and media to inspire our creative community and develop collaborative relationships. An additional strand of the programme aimed to promote internal talent and provoke discussion around emerging themes and societal trends. This culminated in a full day Design Offsite at the end of 2017, that I designed and ran for the 30+ creative community, reflecting on our collective DNA and ambition for the future. Together these initiatives worked to elevate emerging creative talent, boost morale and raise the profile of design within the company.
Designer
Delivering design and art-direction services to category innovators such as Nike, Rapha and Converse. As part of a core team, my role extended to the creation and production of a broad spectrum of digital, print and physical expressions, as well as planning and executing shoots, devising creative workshops, supporting new business growth and daily client liaison. Over four years spent in this role, I managed projects off-site and independently in New York, and led the curation and coordination of exhibitions in Accept & Proceed’s project space, 43m3.
Lead Designer (Freelance)
Part of a satellite team creating and executing campaign and print materials for the gallery's Dancing Around Duchamp season.
Design Assistant
Integrating strategic thinking into the design of identities and visual systems for clients including HP, Netgear and Southwest Airlines. I assisted art commissioning and casting of a nationwide photographic campaign, applying a conceptual approach across digital, print and environmental applications. My role also included contributing to brand guidelines, pitches, promotional materials and the presentation of work internally to strategic and business development teams.
Art Dept
Assisting the international design title's art department. Contributions included special features layouts and illustration, managing the design board and archiving past issue assets.
Art Dept
Aiding the design team of mens’ lifestyle magazine. Responsibilities included laying out content, photographing and formatting features for Esquire online and assisting the coordination of promotional events.
