FIAR Team, SME Assist with the preparation of DoD Agency to audit readiness by analyzing the design and effectiveness of the controls and whether they were effectively implemented. The objective of our assessment was to determine if the implemented controls will pass and sustain an audit. For each Financial Statement Line Item demonstrate achievement of the Financial Reporting Objectives (FROs) through internal controls and Key Supporting Documents (KSDs) testing in accordance with the FIAR Guidance to demonstrate achievement of the financial statement assertions.

Responsible for providing accounting services and support for Assertion Packages and reviewing Financial Statement Activities.* Develops the business process cycle memoranda (e.g., narratives and flow charts) for the key processes and sub-processes, by financial statement line item.* Responsible for the identification and assessment of internal controls for the Balance Sheet and Statement of Budgetary Resources.* Creates test plans to determine effectiveness of controls, test and report results while ensuring and maintaining the integrity of the data.* Performs detailed data analysis to identify transactional detail and documentation sources in the systems and sub-systems supporting the General Ledger account balances.* Provides account balance maintenance as required by OMB A-136 (requires continuous, on-going reviews, gathering evidential matter, data analysis, and accompanying audit trail).* Researches and identifies financial and “mixed” financial systems; determines ownership of systems, and type of data produced. Reviews and analyze risks inherent in technology operations underlying the business, and assist in the preparation, execution and document testing procedures and outcomes.
