As the Senior Associate in overall charge, I had the pleasure of working with her in Shanghai and with KPF in New York from the Hong Kong office of Aedas over the best part of 2 years from 2006 to 2008. In that time we jointly took the project from concept, Fang An to construction drawings sign-off whilst providing several design option iterations for our client, Chris Liu of Kerry Properties. Throughout, I found Ruby's dedication and commitment, coupled with her diligence and expert knowledge of China construction codes and practices to be invaluable in delivering the project. Her good humour and excellent team motivating skills in all circumstances was a welcome relief from the many deadlines and design reiterations that the team provided for the client in his dedicated quest to successfully deliver an optimal development. Many times, with Ruby in SH and me in HK, late into the night or early hours, we would find ourselves still in our offices, fine tuning a presentation, submission or documentation set. Her company, by IM, email and phone was critical in allowing me to continually provide the client and project team with the information they required on time. We jointly, acted as the coordinating and detail-designing hub of the project team wheel. It simply would not have been possible without Ruby.
