I am responsible for testing and managing a Tullett Message Manager System (TMM) which provides a route through which a DMS can send confirmations and receive status replies from a confirmation provider. In addition I have successfully tested OTC derivatives end-to-end trading workflow for FX, MM, CDS & IRS On Occasions I have been personally singled out to check team testing outputs and regularly identify testing issues through meticulous and detailed testing, saving countless hours of development work and significant costs.It’s my job to provide feedback considering testability of the application and solutions, ensuring test readiness before conducting any test. The series of work includes test planning and creating test specification (Identify conditions, Design test cases, Build tests) and also identifying opportunities for Test AutomationAfter performing many Test Executions, produced test reports and also used the Defect Management Tool ‘JIRA’ to report bugs, defects and possible enhancements to be addressed for the next release. I wrote detailed user guides (100 page plus) for new and existing software releases, improving functionality and usability of the software for users and reducing training costs. My main responsibility at Thomson Reuters was to effectively manage two sections; Product Testing and Client Testing for a fully managed Reuters Electronic Trading System for Equity and Funds.For product testing, I had to fully understand all business requirements; construct test plans; design and execute manual and automated test cases. I managed identifying and repairing bugs/faults and possible enhancement to the system; ensuring achievement of complete test coverage so the system could be signed off for production. The role gave me the privilege of working on the client testing side where I certified many financial institutes globally to use the Reuters Electronic Trading System. Some of the clients I worked for included major Banks such as HSBC. FIX messaging protocol was used to translate messages.I have also created detailed quality assurance guides at Thomson Reuters, specifically for the QA department, ensuring all stakeholders understood all aspects of the software, improving the user experience and reducing operator errors. This was my first supervision role where I managed a team of five employees where we used up to 20 PC's to capture TV commercials from pre-recorded tapes. This was performed in a Windows 95 environment with customised software.
