Thanks for visiting my profile!I use my gifts to encourage and empower athletes to heal so that they can make an impact in the world through STEM, sports and media. Most of my life has been centered around three core themes: sports, arts, and science. I have been an athlete for most of my life - playing softball, basketball, and in track-and field as a youth in my home town of Chester, Pa. I later attended Seton Hall University on a full-athletic scholarship running the 400m hurdles. I have always had a love for science, and seeing my father struggle and later succumb to his battle with HIV/AIDS inspired my 2+ decade career in Pharma. When he passed away in my teens, I was driven to find a cure and became interested in drug discovery, so I became a biochemist. Life doesn’t always go as we plan, and it took me 14 years to finish my college degree. Not because I lacked the intelligence and discipline, but because I kept hitting mental and spiritual hurdles along the way that knocked me down. During these years I also trained for the 2012 Olympic Trials and failed to make the team in the 400mH.From what appears to be tragedy comes triumph. Hitting hurdles and mastering running over them as an athlete has helped me learn how to triumph over the mental and spiritual battles athletes face after sport. For the past 2 decades I’ve had a successful career in STEM working in validation and construction. I’ve also stayed connected to sport as a strength and track & field coach. This includes traveling to India to train athletes and perform LTADs, where one athlete I assessed made her country’s National Team and later went on to compete for India in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. While I love to train the body, I believe there is a gap in people helping athletes proficiently train the mind and spirit. While we see more athlete transition programs then there, we’re in my day, they often lack a holistic approach. Athletes just like all people need to be whole in all levels so they can show up for themselves and others beyond sport.
