I am currently looking for work! I am a Manchester Metropolitan University graduate, in BA Sociology where I received a first class honours. I am currently working multiple different jobs, in the hope of finding one more permanent. I have a plethora of experience within the hospitality and retail industries, so I am confident in my ability to interact and communicate with individuals. In recent years I have gained experience within the academic sphere, with two Data Analyst and Research Assistant roles at MMU, to my Specialist Notetaker role which placed me across many Manchester Universities. I have also been Invigilating for University of Manchester's exams. My interests lie within the study of the Creative Industry, through the lens of Marxist philosophy and various critical theorists. I have written papers which explore these topics, such as my first paper, titled 'Krautrock: A New Culture, Sound and Legacy' and my dissertation, titled 'Thatcherism VS. The Music Industry'. After graduating, I was given the opportunity to assist an MMU lecturer in a research project surrounding "Other Voices", the Irish Music Festival.

In order to harvest this secondary data, I had to navigate various band´s and music artist´s social media platforms. For example this included which record label they were signed to.This role enabled me to use social media as a tool to collect data, which involved skills and familiarity surrounding social media platforms, such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook. On the completion of the research project, we both attended and delivered a talk on the progress and findings of the research project, at the University of Liverpool. Other academics where also delivering talks on their research projects.
