About Ruby Mccune
Since I was a young girl, I have been thoroughly enamored with all things wildlife. Now, many years later, I am a devoted biology major and history minor at Loyola University Chicago. Extending my passion of wildlife conservation, zoology, and paleontology to others excites me and pushes me towards my greatest self. The world is my home, my life, and my reason and I will not rest until I heal it. I currently attend Loyola University Chicago where I am majoring in biology, with an ecology concentration, and history. At the start of my second semester I started working for Loyola's Military Veteran and Student Service (MVSS) office. Here, I aid in office administration and am trained to assist in military benefit certification and processes. I have previously volunteered as a ZooTeen during my high school career at the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. Thanks to this opportunity, I have received extensive animal and customer service training. Overall, I am a hard worker with many different abilities and skills. I speak French at the B1 and level, am able to use both Microsoft and Word services, and have been in many leadership positions that have prepared me to continue as an excellent worker for any job I get the pleasure to experience.

CurrentI currently work for the Military Veteran and Student Services (MVSS) office at Loyola University Chicago. It is a work-study opportunity provided by the VA department. Here, I aid pro-staff with their day-to-day duties, perform various housekeeping and military benefit tasks around the office, aid in programs, assist prospective and current students, as well as off and on-campus partners, and use my training to certify military veterans and/or their dependents for them to use their associated benefits.

Golf Instructor
For about three years, I have been a golf instructor and aid at the North Hills Golf Academy (NHGA). I have assisted my employers with teaching golf to children ages 4-16, and occasionally assisting in teaching women's golf. I was entrusted to come up with lesson plans and to teach children individually. During events I would help to set up and later assist with teaching as well. I was trained to assist people with buying lessons and assist during open swing times. During this time as well, my fellow coworkers and I are allowed to better the inside work space, as well as social media.

Here, I assisted the wait staff and ran food to tables. I also assisted with bussing tables during busy hours. I would help customers if needed. I would often work close with the kitchen staff in order to provide all guests with a lovely dining experience.
