Hi! My name is Ruby Mejia and I am UCI alum with a BA in Urban Studies. I love immersing myself in the work field of development, social impact, and entrepreneurship. I am passionate about solving problems and being the change. I joined Sigma Eta Pi, an entrepreneurship fraternity, my 3rd year, where it opened my mind to think differently by developing a growth mindset, having different perspectives on the world, and loving to solve problems. I also was involved with the Antreprenuar center at UCI, Stella Zhang New Venture Competition, the Blackstone Launchpad, and now Revhub OC. With all the exposure of these involvements I was able to fail various times and land opportunities soon after. Various lessons learned from them, which led me to my current startup project, Puerta Abierta.During my free time, I enjoy the outdoors, cooking, working out, reading, dancing, podcasting (Tuesdays with Ruby), and giving back to my community.
