If I had to sum up my professional life in one word, it would be copywriter. But these days, people shy away from labels (unless they're designer, of course) thinking such characterizations too shallow. Too limiting. To me, however, I think my copywriter stamp is a badge of deep and varied experience. My writing career spans more than a quarter century and every media form, from print ads and brochures, to television and radio, to direct response and web. My background is equally diverse. I started on the PR side of things in Orlando; then worked as a copywriter for a San Antonio ad agency; as an in-house writer for a major insurance company; as a freelancer writer and producer; as an ACD; and most recently as a partner and copy director at my own ad agency in Milwaukee. And I have given voice to such venerable companies as Abbott Labotatories, Baxter Healthcare, CNA Insurance, M&I Bank, Radisson Hotels, Cardinal Health, Harley-Davidson, and the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, to name a few.Specialties: Jack of all trades and master of some, especially medical marketing, branding, and strategic planning.
