In this role my key responsibilities included overseeing online campaigns for key titles, authors, and brands, both independently and in collaboration with the Marketing Communications Manager. I was responsible for content creation and curation for all HCNZ social media channels, and tasked with growing engagement and followers. This included localising and scheduling content, as well as copywriting and graphic design.I planned and created collateral for monthly new releases in the form of presenters or samplers, point of sale, and digital assets (including some video content). This also included updating a online hub for booksellers to download digital assets.Part of this role involved the design and printing of promotional material including but not limited to sales presenters, posters, standees, flyers, pamphlets, catalogues, and more.On the digital side, I maintained and updated content for the HCNZ website, including writing copy and creating web banners. The on-going development of HarperCollins NZ public and bookseller databases, plus the preparation and distribution of public, media, and bookseller-targeted EDMs was also part of my role. Placing ads on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter was another key responsibility, which included designing or localising creative, reporting on analytics for online campaigns, and collating invoices.Copywriting and editing was a major part of this position and I was trusted to apply a keen eye for detail to proofreading a range of text.I was in charge of relationship management with existing online influencers and the procurement of new ones. This included monthly collating of titles available for review, ordering from the distribution warehouse, and sending out to reviewers. I enjoyed this opportunity to interact with the bookloving community.
