Rubén Cortés Mora combines 10 years of experience energy and water efficiency, building efficiency analysis and implementation of sustainability management plans, with over 17 years of international experience in project management, business development, tourism and education. After working in the tourism industry in Europe and later International Business Development in Latin America, in 2009, Rubén moved to Asia to work in the education as head of the business faculty of an international university. After completing his training in design and construction of self-sustainable buildings in 2012, at the Earthship Academy in USA, he complemented it with trainings in Building Efficiency, Zero-Energy Buildings, On-Site Waste Water Treatment and Integrated Environment Analysis courses from Delft University of Technology, Wageningen University, and MITI.In 2014, Ruben co-founded Build for Tomorrow, an award-winning social enterprise that has delivered several community projects focused on affordable housing, renewable energy, water and sanitation. One of Build for Tomorrow’s projects includes the design and construction of the first Earthship in Malaysia – a 100% self-sustainable building.In 2020, he co-founded Resource Efficiency Consulting, a consulting and project management company focused on renewable energy, and energy and water efficiency.
