I was hired to deliver on the Board mandate to define the global digital strategy for Siemens Healthineers, and develop and execute growth strategy including portfolio management and business development/M&A for Digital Services. We defined the global digital strategy focused on enabling healthcare systems to improve operations (workflow, human capital), care quality (AI-driven clinical decision support), and patient/consumer engagement; ratified strategy with the Board, and initiated execution to embed digital capabilities in the core business, simplify internal interfaces and increase speed to market. Key products: AI-RAD Companion for Radiology; AI-Pathway Companion for disease workflows.

► Head, Business Innovation (January 2015 to April 2017)This was a multi-faceted position where I served on the US executive leadership team and collaborated with the CEO and other leaders to design and launch the first Business Innovation department in the company. This included Orgnized Customer Collaborations team focused on ecosystem innovation through partnerships with payers, providers, technology companies and patients. This led to development of predictive models, pragmatic clinical trials, clinical decision support systems, longitudinal disease data warehouses, and other innovations. I also built the Digital Health group raising Boehringer Ingelheim's profile as a trusted digital health transformation brand. My efforts played a major role in the company achieving its $5B annual sales goal. I also directed the design and commercial launch of first of its kind connected inhaler in the world, and embedded it in 10+ major health systems including Yale and Cleveland Clinic within a year. Other innovations included gaming platforms for medication adherence,and sensors for early disease detection.

I held this role concurrently with the above position and focused on streamlining development and commercialization strategies. One of my greatest achievements in this position was establishing strategic partnerships with Humana, Anthem and Sutter Health to incubate co-funded projects that improve patient care.

This was a broad role where I set the strategy for business development, financing, market access, product launch, partnerships, portfolio management and commercial models for major biopharmaceutical companies. I was credited with significantly increasing company revenue by launching the Life Sciences Market Access service line that advised clients on pricing, contracting, value demonstration, contracts optimization, trade and technology. I also created the first off-shore Therapeutic Area Research Center in India for the company. Prior to this position, I was the founding member of management consulting division at LECG - a global litigation and economic advisory firm from 2006 to 2007, and a Manager, Strategy & Transformation at Capgemini US/Ernst & Young from 2001 to 2006.
