Poly Department:- Responsible for all operation functional activities of the poly process including handling of refine operations.- worked as an incident controller to take charge of any safety related incident in the plant - Coordination with stores for raw material requirements needed for the smooth running of the plant - Management of DCS supervisors in process parameter related activities to make the end product customer specific -Was part of the team in the expansion of the plant taking the production from 15MT to 60MT per day Technical Cell Department - Analysing plant related problems by carrying out root cause analysis to identify any non compliance - Delivering SOC reports to help the plant in achieving the optimum end product - Participated in the construction of pilot plant for R&D purposes with a capacity of 2MT/day.

-Worked on ASPEN Hysys program for running the simulation of the LPG plant and to optimize the process simulation and optimization of the whole process.-Obtained the flow rates, composition & thermo physical properties of the natural gas involved in the process.-Provided monthly report analysis of the amount of LPG and condensate produced, forecasting the quantity of natural gas required to reach the LPG & condensate production target.-Liaising with stakeholders at all levels and assisting with setting project timelines, setting objectives and allocating resources-Helped senior staff members in the head office with the creation of P&ID and PFD needed for the expansion of the plant -Involved in the maintenance of the gas plant with activities like pigging, changing of oil in the compressors.Risk Management :-Carried out frequent Hazard & Operability Study (HAZOP) to identify and evaluate problems that may represent risks to personnel or equipment.Provided monthly analysis in a report format of the design and engineering issues in equipments which may otherwise not have been found-Also carried out Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) which is a step by step approach of identifying all possible failures in a design or the manufacturing process. Made an analysis of all process and equipments before the expansion of the plant beganLaboratory Work:-Analysing the sample of the natural gas coming into the FEED line before being allowed to go through the chemical plant. -Avoiding the formation of hydrates by constantly maintaining the optimum pressure & temperature level in the plant

-Analyzed the research proposals from number of scientists across the world in order to discuss with the International Cooperation Department Team (ICD) which research is to be funded in the OPCW review meetings.-Researched in-depth the areas in danger of chemical weapons for the OPCW inspectors to seek and destroy. -Involved in hosting my Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) programs including Research Project Support program, Laboratory Assistance program & Associate program.

-Tracked the coatings of glass panels according to the correct specs and ensured that the coated glass panels are distributed on time with maximum performance and minimum delay. -Recorded number of equipment, manpower & raw materials required for the production to go smoothly within the budget and meet the deadline.-Collaborated with quality control department, warehouse and office staff by using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to ensure the process and information is streamlined across the entire organization.-Worked with Supply Chain department to ensure best pricing and gross margin analysisAssignment: Part of my University coursework in this internship was to “Study the Glass Coating Process” which included the analysis of the chemicals involved in the coating process and how the coating machine worked.

-Monitored the work executed by the engineering team on site and prepared project reports.-Supervised and reported the progress of concrete being made to ensure that they are completed on time.-Inspected and observed work in progress to ensure that procedures followed and materials used conformed to project specifications and quality standards.Assignment: Part of my University coursework in this internship was to write an assignment on “Manufacturing & Testing of different types of concrete blocks” which included the analysis of concrete blocks used in different types of construction and how each one is manufactured.
