Currently:Projects regarding infrastructure like storage, virtualization. Working on an "exit vmware" strategy. We want to start by exit vSAN and build a new local storage infrastucture.Recently built a VSAAS (video surveillance as a service) solution for 30.000 cameras using servers filled with Nvidia GPUs and 7 petabytes when built out. It's a scale out solution so we can expand it as it grows.Looking into saving money from cloud stroage like Azure etc by delivering object storage(S3 based) locally.Years ago: Going all in on VMware vSAN, building a hyper-converged infrastructure.Delivering infrastructure for projects like Scan and Pay solution, automated (fancy robots) system from Swisslog Autostore.Many many time ago:(Netapp) Storage Manager:- Design/management of NetApp(SAN, metrocluster, snapvault, OpsMan, Balance).- Performance optimization and support to hosts such as Windows/AIX/ESX/Linux/SQL servers.- Proactive maintenance.- Capacity planning, monitoring and management.- Vendor contact, scheduling support, maintenance, status meetings, road maps, etc- 3,5 petabytes of raw disk space on 3583 spindles.As listed above, currently my primary work are our storage infrastructure with a little detour now and then into other areas(fx. a proof of concept test of surface tablets for use in our warehouses).I plan new installations and coordinate installations with the vendors, daily maintenance, debugging, helping server administrators configuring and tuning their systems. Monitor performance and space capacity and do capacity planning. When I have the time, I am looking at VMware and a bit of powershell programming(at the moment to automate jobs and extract statistics).A long time ago:- Designing and implementing Cisco wireless networking in our office building and warehouses, with NAC for internet access to guests.- Building and implementing Linux as a standard server/service, although this was cut short because of changing priorities.

Network administrator for Novell servers.Centralization and standardizaion of the company's servers which were spread out all over the organization and installed by different vendors for each department.Stated working on internet related tasks at this time.Inspired by the Trojan Room Coffee Machine, I believe i had Denmarks first web camera, installed in my office.A small side project was creating a company phone book, written in Visual Basic along with a conversion tool that took the backup for the phone system and translated it into searchable file. It was something I wrote for fun because I was tired of looking up numbers in the paper version and it became very popular and the standard phonebook(replacing the paper version) for many years until the first intranet was introduced.Got a Novell CNE and CNA certification while working there.Held courses for end users, introducing them to basic network usage.

Datamekaniker.During my education, I worked a Dasela for 4 years. They produced microprocessor controlled system for many different types products, from farming product to medical equipment.I wrote small programs for use in the testing phase of product development. It was mostly programs monitoring and introducing errors into protocols on serial connection. For half a year, I worked in the manufactoring section where the company manufactored print boards for some of the system they had developed.I maintained the backup on the miccroVAX and Novell systems.My exam project was a Novell monitoring tool that collected data from Novell serveres and generated different statistics such as latency/response time, print queue wait time, cache efficiency, CPU utilization etc, displayed in graphs for a day to reveal bottlenecks and when they occured.
