Rudi Herbst opened the national auctioneer, Aucor’s, very first branch in the Free State during 2003 as Director after starting off as a small-time auctioneer with Junior Bezuidenhout Auctioneers from 2002. This branch of Aucor developed into a highly profitable entity, forming part of a successful national footprint. From the very start, Rudi’s focus has been on Vehicles, Construction & Mining equipment, Trucks & Trailers as well as all categories of properties. Rudi’s ambitions exceeded what Aucor could offer him and he registered SA Auction Group in 2008. Six years’ trading has developed the company into one of the trend setters in the South African auction industry, mainly due to the driving force of Rudi. This lead to rarely-matched expertise, built up over the past years. SA Auction was established in the central Free State by Rudi Herbst and Jacques Le Roux.
