I worked as an assistant site manager on a 4 storey high end residential and commercial development for a large construction company. The site regularly had between 40 and 50 contractors on site and 10 of our own company staff. I joined as the as the RC frame was being completed and external facade works were beginning, and worked through to the completion of the project. Everyday responsibilities included coordinating sub contractors, ensuring health and safety procedures were followed, site welfare was in order, managing a labour force, keeping site documents up to date, quality control on finished works and preparing snag lists for all works in the project.
