Project/system Description:The iCar systems are based on the use of intelligent cameras with ANPR functionality. The iCar-Road system integrates all the elements and functionalities necessary for the detection of red light violation. The iCar-InstantSpeed makes use of a radar for speed measurements. The iCar-Rail is used for the detection of violations and anomalies at railways. The iCar-AverageSpeed is a traject control system to measure the average speed between 2 camera nodes. All violations and observations are reported to a central server for further processing.My Contribution:- Support to sales- Responsible for the model approvals and certificates (metrological and juridical approvals)- Technical consultancy during the design and development- Writing the technical specifications- Responsible for the tests related to certification (EMC, environmental, functional, performance and accuracy)- Writing all technical related documents (commercial, data sheets, technical descriptions, ... )

2010- 2011:System Architect, designer and developer of the PRV SATCOM demonstrator. This demonstrator showed that the Communication Sub-System delivered for the PRV-LUX project (see below) can evolve to offer services over SATCOM on the move and UMTS networks. 2007 – 2010: System Architect for the Communication System on-board of the PRV.PRV stands for the Protected Reconnaissance Vehicles, which were delivered by Thales Belgium for the Luxembourg army. The communication system in the vehicle includes 2 VHF radio, 1 HF Radio and one communication node responsible for the Network deployment and network services.2006 – 2007: Feasibility study for a SATCOM system on board of Neuron. Neuron is an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle with strong Stealth requirements.2004 – 2006: Belgian responsible within the Euro finder project ETNA The ETNA project was a joined project between different European nations. The aim of ETNA was to define a Network Architecture and to identify the required services for multi-national operations between forces in a tactical environment. As Belgian representative I was responsible for the final solution taken into account the operational needs of the different nations and to assure that it fulfilled the operational needs from the Belgian army.
