About Rudi Farkas

Originally graduated as electronics engineer, I converted to software development work around 1975. I wrote firmware for world class oscilloscopes (LeCroy) for over 20 years, C/C++ on Wintel platform in recent years. In 2010 I wrote my first Windows kernel mode driver, a USBTMC device.2011-2016 I worked part-time on user-mode driver software on Wintel platform, for a major manufacturer of electronic measurement instruments, in C++, with Python for functional testing of drivers + hardware.Now (2018) I'm retired, but pursuing software development interests, mainly iOS applications. My first iPhone application Cubz was at the AppStore from 2010 to 2013, not a smashing commercial success.Specialties: C/C++ applications in electronic instrumentation control, signal processing and communications.Perl for processing the source code in large projects.Python scripts for testing of hardware and software modules.Objective-C and Swift for iOS applications.
