Rudolf M. Weiss studied Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc) at the University of Stuttgart where he graduated 1999 to M.Sc. (Diplom-Ingenieur).After his studies he started working at pharma service company Servotech Germany as an Assistant of Management and there he was in charge of marketing and project management for documentation/validation of pharma filling and packaging equipment at the top key account customer.From March 2001 on Rudolf was working at Groninger (www.groninger.de) where he was responsible in different areas as Marketing Director, Senior Project Manager and Sales Manager. 2005 he turned into Regional Sales Director and was responsible with his team for sales (P/L), market development and product management of pharma filling, packaging and assembly processing equipment in North/East Europe, CIS, Japan, Middle East and Africa.Furthermore he was in charge of global KAM for packaging material suppliers where he has great expertise in pharmaceutical packaging material like pre-filled syringes – manufacturing of glass, siliconization, assembly of components and finally filling, inspection, closing and pre-packing.September 2016 he moved on to FIMA (www.fima.de) as Director Sales & Marketing and Authorized Officer working in a complete new business and market environment for heavy rotating equipment and turbomachinery for the chemical, petrochemical and food industry. Besides the global sales and marketing responsibility he was member of the management team and responsible for subsidiaries in Turkey, India, China and USA.After earning further experiences as Director Sales & Marketing at FIMA and the chemical/petrochemical industry, he decided to go back to pharma after 14 months and joining the global leading company for fill/finish equipment in this sector, company Bausch + Ströbel (www.bausch-stroebel.de)! His new role covered in the beginning the wide range of Sales, Marketing and Business Development. Early November 2018 he was announced to be Authorized Officer and Director Sales & Marketing.October 2020 he took a great opportunity and started in the senior management at STÄUBLI Robotics and took over the global responsibility for robotic/automation business in pharma and medical devices as Global Head of Pharma and Member of the Global Management Team.Dipl.-Ing. The area of Medical Devices focus on process equipment for electrical devices, implants, heart pace makers, plastic and metal parts, contact lenses etc.Primary focus in FOOD is the automated processing of meat, cheese, bakery and ready meals. This goes from primary handling, secondary up to final packaging of food products.In parallel I am part of the Division Management Team of Stäubli Robotics supporting our Executive President and my management colleagues in all fields of company management over all business segments. -
