My experience has, for the better part of 20 years, been in music and education. I've participated in everything from being a purchaser at a legendary record shop (Aron's Records, to be precise) to running several of my own labels. I represent the interests of artists based in Skopje, Macedonia, assist with the "Without Borders" Ethnic and World Music Festival out of Varna, Bulgaria, and blog and curate for "A Miscellany Of Tasteful..." (http://amiscellany.info).Outside of music, I taught English as a Second Language here in the Greater Los Angeles Area, as well as in the Balkans, Italy and China.My degree is in History, though my interests include Theology (Eastern Orthodox ecclesiastical history and its relation with politics), Military History (especially in regard to the Silk Route), Celtic, Gothic and Iberian History. I enjoy literature (Jorge Luis Borges, Ezra Pound, William Shakespeare and Pablo Neruda), linguistics (especially the work of Henry Hitchings, John MacWhorter and Nicholas Ostler) and art (especially avant-garde/Suprematist/Surrealist/Brutalist), as well as typography, as I have a profound interest in non-Latin-based letterforms, such as from Georgia, Armenia, or the Old Syriac liturgical script..On occasion, I also lecture on Philosophy of Religion, concentrating on Eastern Orthodoxy and Zoroastrianism.
