Rudy Saunders is Design Director at Dorothy Draper & Company, Inc., America’s oldest established continually operating interior design firm based in New York, New York. He is involved with all aspects of the firm’s commercial design projects, including The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia and Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan, along with a list of residential projects around the world. Additionally, he is involved with furniture, textile, lighting, product, event design, and Dorothy Draper Home retail. Originally from Cincinnati, he attended University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) where he received a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design in 2016. Rudy worked at Lilly Pulitzer focusing on retail design and visual merchandising and Bolce Interior Image concentrating on residential interiors prior to coming to Dorothy Draper & Company, Inc. in 2015. ​A prolific needlepointed, Rudy launched an exclusive needlepoint collection, R! by Rudy in 2020. He is involved with White House Historical Association Next-Gen Leaders, The Fund For Park Avenue, Central Park Conservancy Greensward Circle, and The New York Winter Antique Show.
