From May 2023, I assumed sole management of accounts such as Heineken & Desperados, Turkish Airlines, MelBet & 1xBet, and the African Football League. Notably, I orchestrated successful campaigns spanning traditional and digital media channels across diverse markets.Heineken & Desperados: I worked with a sister agency (Dentsu) while I managed the Media Buying of the account and managed the campaign. I had successfully implemented the UEFA Champions league campaign that ran in Gabon, Burkina Faso, Guinea on traditional media (Radio, TV and OOH) as well as an Influencer’s campaign. I was also responsible for the Sierra Leonian and Liberian market. Additionally, I collaborated closely with other account managers on projects for esteemed clients like SA Tourism (in 13 markets) and Colgate (in 10 markets), honing my teamwork and adaptability skills.Communication Strategy is our approach to using communication to secure competitive advantage.And this goes beyond the hard metrics of Performance Marketing that direct us where to place how much of what, and combine it with strong Brand Marketing. While these essential Media Buying KPIs such as CPM, Reach, GRPs and other performance cues can be copied by competitors and anyone who knows how to implement a data-driven approach, our stories cannot be copied. Our experience is unique; our intentions and all that is the source of our inspiration cannot be reproduced. They are unique to us, our brand. And we use hard metrics and KPIs to ensure our message reaches as much of our target audience as possible.

I joined Simply Black Media in April 2022, where I initially focused on the French Markets.Spearheading media buying for the Coca Cola account that had a strong presence in both Western Island (WIMA) and Eastern Central (ECAF) African markets. I first started with taking responsibility for the DR. Congo, Congo B, Senegal, and Cameroon markets over the first 6 months, then I swiftly expanded my responsibilities across all French-speaking markets in Sub-Saharan Africa, building strong relationships with media owners and crafting effective media plans.As my tenure progressed, I transitioned into roles of increased responsibility. (1) The solid partnerships I have nurtured with media owners setting foundation for a close collaboration, (2)my multicultural background, proficiency in multiple languages including French, English, and Swahili, (3)coupled with a passion for embracing new cultures, place me in an ideal position to negotiate media buying arrangements that will set the agency at a competitive advantage and cultivate mutually beneficial partnerships with media owners across all these markets.Admin Tasks:My media buying role expanded to not only negotiating Media spaces, but as far as closely monitoring the campaign implementation and reporting to both the clients and internal stakeholders.Despite the challenges found in certain African markets, I have been able to provide accurate monitoring and reporting by creating an Excel Worksheet document for an easy plug and play compliance generating system along with a Media Buyer Stake Holder Engagement Plan & Grievance Mechanism to optimise all Media Buying operation and maintain a solid relationship with Media Owners.These two documents improved the precision in monitoring and reduced time spend in compliance from 4-5 days to just 15min. Improving the compliance rate to an average of 98%. And not a single campaign was either missed, started late or encountered hi-cups.

Moving from an academic style of learning to providing students a more practical learning experience. I was part of an exciting team that promoted SCREACH’s new products in France. Within a very short period, I was shrewd enough to figure out the client’s needs and objectives to meet them effectively, with instant positive results.Key Contributions:▪ We successfully launched a new product in a market that has already been using alternative solutions.▪ As part of the marketing objective, we successfully laid the foundation of what has become, today, an essential entertainment tool for establishments that receive public – Hotels, bars, and restaurants – in France.
