Responsible for migrating web applications from Coldfusion to OOP PHP and developing new applications with PHP (Laravel) for the Office of Teaching and Learning. Nexgen Inc. is an IT services provider for the U.S. Department of Interior’s Bureau of Land Management where I am a member of the National Applications Tech Team. I’m part of a two member Web Team responsible for maintaining several internal and external web applications.

Responsible for creating and maintaining web applications (primarily PHP/MySQL) for multiple clients. Specific duties include transferring Photoshop comps into CSS/HTML templates for custom applications as well as Content Manage-ment Systems, creating and implementing database schemas based on application requirements, and creat-ing/integrating both server-side and client-side code for displaying and manipulating site content. Additional duties in-clude Linux web server maintenance via command line and web-based control panels.

Primary responsibilities included development and maintenance of five different corporate web sites requiring proficiency in multiple web technologies on different operating system platforms (Linux, Windows, and Unix). These sites range from legacy PHP-driven sites, legacy and new development ColdFusion sites, and a web portal deployment on Solaris utiliz-ing Tibco Portalbuilder in conjunction with ColdFusion. Daily activities included gathering application requirements, cod-ing (HTML, PHP, ColdFusion), creating and maintaining mySQL databases, installing and maintaining web-related appli-cations on multiple environments, and responding to customer (both external and internal) inquiries.

As a Senior Consultant with the Indianapolis branch of a global provider of Information Technology solutions, my pri-mary responsibilities included creating Graphical User Interface (GUI) standards, creating web site layouts and graphics, interfacing the GUI with server-side programming to create dynamic Web applications, and often working with other team members to migrate existing mainframe and client-server applications to the Web. I also provided second-tier help desk support for a custom web application that supported approximately one thousand users.
