Youth Engagement WorkerBroadplain & Riverside Youth Project May 2021 - May 2022City Of Bristol, England, United KingdomAt one of the country’s oldest and most celebrated Community Youth Clubs, I worked full time in the specialised Alternative Learning Provision (ALP), for boys aged 10-16 who were unable to remain in mainstream education. My role was to encourage and facilitate participation with the young people through a variety of sports, predominantly boxing and football, in an effort to re-engage them into mainstream education. As I acquired the role by first working at the Highrise Events (held at the venue), my responsibilities extended to being the main point of contact between Broad Plain and Highrise, ensuring that all weekend events were aligned and worked accordingly with the Youthwork that was done Monday-Friday. A tricky and rather unusual symbiotic relationship.

Co-Founder (Event Catering)Don Tony'S Ltd Jun 2020 - Mar 2022Bristol, England, United KingdomAs co-founder of Don Tony’s Ltd, I have gained a first-hand awareness of what is required to grow a successful pizza stall from a start-up. It has given me experience in various management roles and allowed me to apply my degree to a real-life business. My responsibilities at Don Tony's are broad, and include sourdough preparation, stock & financial management, actual pizza making, woodfire oven maintenance, customer service and contributing to design & marketing ideas. In August 2020 Don Tony's accepted a residency at the Highrise Hub, a socially-distanced outdoors venue in Bristol city centre. This has given me experience of working during the coronavirus pandemic, and informed me of the guidelines and necessary requirements. -
Delivery RiderStuart Mar 2018 - Jan 2022Bristol, England, United KingdomAbove all else, this job has instilled in me the value and importance of self-discipline; while I do love cycling around the city, going to work on my bike often requires a certain degree of willpower, particularly in unpleasant weather. As a steady part-time job this has helped support me during university. -
Co-Founder (Event Organiser)Ataraxis Events Sep 2019 - Mar 2020Bristol, England, United KingdomIn September 2019, I founded Ataraxis Events along with some close friends from university. Our debut music event, which focused on raising mental health awareness, sold out four days prior to the night, and with 100% of profits donated to Bristol Mind we managed to raise over £500 for the charity in ticket sales alone. Due to studying commitments coupled with the onset of coronavirus, we have been unable to organise any more events, although in the future we have plans to revive Ataraxis.

Bartender/ Mixologist/ WaiterPearson'S Arms By Richard Phillips Dec 2014 - Aug 2016Whitstable, KentI held various positions at this popular seaside pub and events venue ranging from bartending and waiting tables, to mixing and creating cocktails. It is a prestigious venue where customer expectations are high, so I worked hard to maintain the reputation of its employees and services. I was twice awarded ‘Top Seller’ in the monthly competition between all staff, which I earned by personally taking the most revenue in bar sales, a figure that was amplified by my upselling of takeaway bar food (e.g. homemade scotch eggs and sausage rolls). It was this achievement that made me first realise my aptitude for selling and persuasion, inspiring me to pursue a degree in business.
