I do multiple types of engineering and software, but the bulk of my work hasbeen in "embedded systems". Recently I have also been working on Roboticsystems and motion control on small machinery.On my last "full time" job, I worked on:Oxygen/CO2 gas concentration. Dew Point analyzers.Raspberry Pi based test stations/data loggers.Python GUI test programs and database migration tools.Previous job was:Embedded "Black Box" Telematic device used in Fleet Management System.Used in marine vessels, heavy duty trucking, stationary assets (e.g. mining conveyor monitoring)GSM/Satellite connectivity. Data capture via discrete I/O and various networkbusses: CAN, Modbus, J1708, J1939, Smartcraft, NMEA2000Firmware: C code using Codewarrior IDE for Coldfire TargetCircuit Design: Developed schematic and Microchip PIC18 firmware for J1708 Gateway device.Desktop: Python GUI for hardware test interfaces, protocol tests, and web data access.
