Saltire Scholar 2022As an Event and Social Media intern, I was responsible for the digital marketing and overall promotion of the Society’s 266th Annual Banquet.My tasks varied from generating engaging content for our diverse social media channels, to creating and editing persuasive copy for our blogs and weekly newsletter, and designing graphic material on tools such as Canva and Adobe Suite.My contributions have led to an increase in engagement of our social media channels by 3%, through the implementation of best social media practices, such as SEO optimisation, creation of content strategies, calendar planning using Later.com, and regular metric analyses. This position expanded my perspective and skills of Social Media Management and Event Marketing, particularly in terms of strategy and the process of finding creative approaches to problem-solving.
