I graduated as a MSc in Data Science with a specialization in Data, Modelling, and Prediction at the University of Alberta, where I focus on statistical inference, statistical and economic modeling, and machine learning. I have a strong background in statistics and economics with distinction, having completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto. As a student researcher at the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences, I investigate the accuracy of estimating proportions of Chinook salmon populations from North Coast recreational fishery using GSI testing. I apply binomial sampling simulations and bootstrap GLM to assess error and precision in estimating fish populations for different sample sizes and probabilities. In addition, I have experience as a core assurance assistant at PwC, where I collaborated with the project team to evaluate the company's balance sheet credibility for a real estate listing project. I collected and processed high volumes of bank statements for over 70 subsidiaries and extrapolated data from customers and third-party institutions. I utilized Excel functions to analyze, process and visualize all source data, and accelerated project progress and improved working efficiency using a status tracing sheet. I have a passion for data analysis and data-driven decision making, and I am proficient in various data science tools and techniques, such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and Power BI. I have strong interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving with attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate in the workplace. I demonstrate team leadership strengths by managing and collaborating on multiple research projects and work environments. My goal is to apply my skills and knowledge to real-world problems and contribute to the advancement of data science.
