I define myself as a motivated person with a passion for medical science and engineering and a huge interest in technology. The combination of these passions led me to pursue a career in biomedical engineering, as it is the best way to have a significant impact on people's lives.My academic path began at the Superior Institute of Engineering of Coimbra, where I got a degree in Biomedical Engineering, more focused on the Bioelectronics field. Thanks to the many curricular units in common with the Electrotechnical Engineering course, I obtained the degree in this same course in only one year by doing the subjects focused on the electrotechnical part.I decided to continue my studies and get a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Porto, where I was able to expand my horizons and learn more about different areas of the course. At this moment, I am in the dissertation, which is being held at the Institute for Health Research and Innovation (i3S) with the project "Magnetic Nanoparticles For Cancer Therapy: Collection And Elimination of Circulating Tumor Cells". This project is being conducted in partnership with the University of Austin, Texas.In addition to my professional interests, I enjoy leading an active lifestyle, especially when it comes to exercise and sports. I find that this not only keeps me physically fit, but also sharpens my mind and helps me face challenges in my personal and professional life.Furthermore, of course spending time with family and friends is also important to me. When I am not working or exercising, you might find me spending time with loved ones or exploring new places.
