I have completed my PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Instituto Superior Tecnico in November 2021, with final grade "Pass with distinction and honour" (Summa cum laude)As part of my PhD, I was a Visiting PhD student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2018.From October 2014 to August 2016, I have worked as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico, IST, Lisbon,From November 2013 until September 2014, I worked as an Autonomous Systems engineer at Tekever - Aerospace, Defense and Security Division.In October 2013, I completed a Double Degree Master in Systems, Control and Robotics, in a joint programme between Instituto Superior Técnico, IST, Lisbon, Portugal, and the Royal Institute of Technology, KTH, Stockholm, Sweden.Also, I have a Bachelor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at IST.I am very passionate about Robotics, Autonomous Systems and Machine Learning, as I believe these are of paramount importance for the way we design technologies for the future.As for hobbies, I play football as often as I can, I enjoy going to the movies, taking pictures, travelling and spend quality time with my friends.My goal is to have some positive impact on the society we live in, by helping the ones who need the most through technology.
