• Managed the ByteDance NewStone Lab with more than 200 hardware and software engineers and developed a series of smart devices for ByteDance, from Jianguo Cellphone to Dali Smart Lamp, which was sold by millions.• Built the device research team and prototyped new product ideas, the AI-based student tablet, the AR glasses, the 3D video conference system, etc.• Coordinated internal software and service teams from Lark, Education, Douyin, and Xihua video for software integration and device-oriented optimization.

• Led the North America product, marketing, operation, business development, and sales teams and E2E managed Lenovo tablet, ARVR, and smart device business, which is the most significant consumer business besides PC and cellphone. • Managed and stabilized the relationship with partners, Facebook, Google, Amazon, and Disney. Settled down ~xxM co-marketing deal and secured funding for joined developed products. • Enhanced the strategic relationship with Amazon and developed the new online channel marketing strategy, increased the online tablet sales revenue by xx% • Explored new channels of Home Depot, Office Depot, B&H, for smart home business and made Lenovo a top 3 player in the smart display category.

• Created Lenovo smart home segment from 0 to 1 in 3 month. Recruited 10 team members, setup working process internally and externally, defined business strategy and KPI of team.• Initiated the cooperation between Lenovo and Google Assistant/Amazon Alexa and defined the 2018/2019 product roadmap together. Arranged leadership meetings (SVP/COO level) from both sides and got approvals.• End-to-end managed product design of AI based devices from hardware design, ID, UI/UX to software experience, closely with Google Assistant/Alexa team.• Led a cross functional team from strategy planning, product, supply chain, engineering and design to develop the Lenovo Smart Display with Google in 6 months, which is the most important AI based device launched in 2018 from Google.• Organized Lenovo Smart Display 2018 announcement and got 22 awards (including Best of CES from Engadget), which is the most awarded Lenovo product in the last 10 years.• Led the Go-To-Market negotiation between Lenovo and Google and achieved a general agreement of resource investment from both sides. Worked with strategy and legal team to draft the co-marketing deal between Google and Lenovo.• Won “Individual Excellence Award” of Lenovo, which is the most important award of Lenovo Corporation. • Managed the day to day work of Xiaomi TV global team. Created a profitable oversea business for Xiaomi TV from scratch and generated xxM USD revenue within 6 months.• Analyzed global Smart TV and OTT Box market and created the product roadmap of MiTV global product lines. Presented the 2016/2017 TV/STB product/business plan to Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi, and got approval.• Initiated MRD/PRD and managed the development of the Android TV project, which is the most important product of Xiaomi in US market.• Created the business development task force to engage Amazon Alexa team, Google Android/Home team, Netflix, Hulu, Fox, Disney, ABC and HBO. Drafted the basic 3rd party business agreement and led the product development between Xiaomi, Hulu, HBO and Netflix.• Directed online and offline marketing team to work with Xiaomi partners to promote Xiaomi TV Box products. Made Xiaomi TV Box the “Best Selling item” of Walmart home entertainment category in 2016 holiday season.

• Designed and managed the development of the new API infrastructure to enable self-service agencies and increase the revenue of adap.tv by 15%.• Lead Engineering task force to complete the SOX compliance project -- modifying Adap.TV’s video advertisement platform to meet the criteria of AOL, which is the most critical task of the 400 million dollars acquisition.

• Analyzed the US online media market and collaborated with business development, product design and engineering teams to develop the strategy, roadmap and features for Amazon’s Fire TV.• Led weekly development meetings with a small user experience team to build the prototype. The prototype was delivered on time within 4 weeks. ..• Organized weekly usability test within PM team and addressed more than 100 issues in UI, service, platform and hardware.

• Initiated a new software co-development process for customers of Yahoo!TV and presented to Engineering Managers from Toshiba and Yahoo! to bring agreement on the proposal. The new process decreased the development time by 30%. • Coordinated engineering teams from Shanghai, Taipei, Bangalore and Phoenix to integrate Netflix, Hulu and CinemaNow software players to GoogleTV and Yahoo!TV. These players are the products’ key differentiator which continues to generate millions dollars of additional revenue.• Pitched Intel’s media platform and created 3 new projects in Lenovo, TCL and LGE in partnership with marketing team.

• Analyzed Chinese online media market and conceptualized the first Internet TV platform in China. Developed the prototype with 4 engineers in 4 weeks. • Led a cross-functional team from engineering, marketing, sales and finance to promote our platform and built the Internet TV ecosystem with TCL, the largest new media company and the largest TV manufacturer in China.• Managed engineering team to build the Internet TV product with technology partners, which generated $6M in revenue in the first 6 months.• Modified Internet TV system for vehicle entertainment. The new platform won the $1M order from Faw-Volkswagen.
