My symbolic jewelry uses low relief carving to bring three-dimensional forms to life in metal.Each piece is a wearable sculpture reflecting my deep love of nature. I sculpt intricately animal forms and miniature landscapes to tell a story. My lifelong interest in ancient symbols also appears frequently in my work.My jewelry pieces are amulets highly detailed with carving and engraving on every available surface. Some works are decorated with elements fabricated from a contrasting metal. Some use unusual gems or crystals to create additional layers of meaning. I make my wearable art with the traditional techniques of lost wax casting and fabrication. I carve wax, cast into metal, and assemble with soldering. Some pieces feature complex hand built clasps or hinges. All are designed with functionality in mind and are extremely comfortable.My jewelry can be purchased directly at shows and arts festivals, or from my website and Facebook page. I also have a small seasonal showroom for holiday events, when I am open to the public.I am well known for my one-of-a-kind custom work, including pendants, rings, bracelets and earrings. I am also available for sculptural commission work from smaller indoor carvings and paintings, to larger outdoor works such as plaques and sundials.
