 Assist level 1 and level 2 teams and customers with technical issues on UNIX Platforms (Solaris, Linux, HP and AIX) for Veritas well known products such as VCS, VxVM,VxFS, CVM/CFS, DMP, VVR and VRP  Work with Engineering and product release teams for reviewing technical support related issues on product release readiness. Responsible for providing root cause analysis for Veritas Products related issues. Reproduce complex customer issues in our own LAB environment and provide the workaround and fix accordingly. Handling and troubleshooting of any production server outage over the Incident Management calls. Interacting with OS and storage vendors to narrow down the ongoing issues. Implemented Veritas Infoscale products on AWS and Azure cloud environments to provide high availability or disaster recovery inside a cloud. Follow-up with customers for cases issues and maintaining the good relation for upcoming products updates. Coaching L1 & L2 Support Engineers with basic and advanced levels of product training as well as upcoming technologies for new hires Writing technical documents for Knowledge Base (KB) for known issues within Knowledge Management system for records Facilitated the Fron-line engineer with the escalations and joined the bridge/conference call whenever required to improve customer experience.  Contributing as a Swarm Lead under the SWARM model

Worked in Banking domain as Unix administrator. Roles & Responsibilities: Part of Global UNIX Production support (Linux/Solaris) for AM, EMEA and APAC region of all the environments like Production, DR, Dev and UAT. Primary contact for the entire UNIX infrastructure and providing 2nd level support  Supporting more than 20,000 Unix servers including both Linux and Solaris servers Handling and troubleshooting of any production server outage over the Incident Management calls. Troubleshooting VERITAS cluster, user logging, Powerpath related issue etc., Analyzing performance and load issues on servers  Preparing RCA for problems raised and updating knowledge base with solutions. Coordination with vendors like Oracle, Red-hat, Novell and Symantec for any service request raised.  Involved in all hardware breakfix activities eg: Faulty disk, DIMM/memory, system board replacement etc.,  Tagging defects raised by team and coordinating with onsite / SMEs for resolution and creating incident / change recommendations.  Daily status update meetings and resolving any escalations / issues raised with support activities.  Involved in quarterly maintenance activities ie., DR activity, Power Down/Up Activities Provide transition to team members and new joiners towards process updates

Roles & Responsibilities: Worked as a team member in ID UNIX offshore as a Solaris Administrator, providing migration and production support.  Production support and incident management activities. Involved in basic troubleshooting of all unix servers and applications. Destroying root disk by using bcwipe script or format utility on SUN servers. Quality Analysis of every server deployment. Installation of various applications and software on sun servers (Like, Oracle 10G, DB2, Websphere, MQM) Maintaining CMDB (configuration management DB) for any updates. Recommend change in deployment procedures as required. Configuring backup for Solaris servers using VERITAS Net backup 6.5/7. Preparing WSR and MSR for weekly / monthly review meetings with client and other teams Tagging defects raised by team and coordinating with onsite / client support teams for resolution and creating incident / change recommendations.
