CurrentRole – Reporting to General Manager• Examines damaged vehicles to determine the degree of structural damage.• Removes rough spots on vehicle panels.• Sands surfaces by hand or with power sander• Apply body filler using putty spatula to fill an even surface of the repaired panel.• Sanding of body filler using dual action sander and sanding block with dust free vacuum machine.• Sanding the damage area by using dual action sander and sanding block.• Cleaning the panel and masking the car to avoid small dirt and oil and over spray to the car.• Covers area not to be painted with masking tape and paper.• Colour matching and mixing of paints to match paint shades, or selects pre-mixed paint.• Spray paint as per vehicle colour code using different spray gun type such HVLP.• Polish vehicles or painted panels using polishing compound and buff machine.• Sand repaired body surface using hand and power tools, spot fill and prime• Mask and tape for multi-tone paint work and protective requirements• Prepare paint booth equipment• Mix paint and components and match colours• Use equipment, brush or spray guns to apply primer, paint, enamel, lacquer or other non-metallic protective and decorative coatings to automobiles• Dry or bake newly painted surfaces• Refinish galvanized outer panels and anodised aluminium mouldings• Apply decals, transfers, stencils and other types of identification to finished paint work• Inspect job and repair faults• Painting signs and artwork on vehicles.• Treating vehicles with rust proofing chemicals
