Our intentions with Weatherboard Farms are to grow health, connection and resilience - our own as co-founders, as well as that of our family, our communities, and the lands that sustain us all. The initial plot upon which we're cultivating this is 1/3rd of an acre on lək̓ʷəŋən territory, in what is today commonly known as Oak Bay, British Columbia. This land hosts us with/in an old, heritage-designated Victoria-style farmhouse, built in 1896, one of the first settler homes in the area. Since we occupied this place in late 2021 - the first family to ever purchase the home from its original builders and descendants - we've have been working by hand to revitalize home and land, both left in a progressing state of neglect and deterioration for the preceding four decades. While taking on the role of renovators and stewards to the farmhouse has been a rewarding process - and one that will continue for years as we slowly chip away at improvements as time and funds allow - its on the land in front of and behind the home that we've been cultivating our deeper passions. In particular, as an homage to the past lives of both the home and my agroecologist wife, Jennie, we have been progressively beating back encroaching invasives and re-establishing native plants, as well as food crops and flowers. The last of these we've started selling out of our farm cart, which occasionally appears out front of the house, bearing things like flower bouquets, bunches of basil and vine-ripened tomatoes. Highlights (reverse chronological): • Led overhaul of BC Parks camping service, provider of the province's largest accommodation service• Co-founded the Exchange Lab & COVID-19 Digital Delivery Network, both instrumental in British Columbia's COVID-19 response• Led the design & delivery of the COVID-19 Supply Hub (in collaboration with the Digital Technology Supercluster & Traction on Demand)• Supported the design & delivery of BC's COVID-19 Small & Medium Business Grant Program• Supported the design & delivery of BC's Health Gateway, platform for the online sharing of COVID-19 vaccine records• Led (Acting) BC Digital Trust Service / OrgBook BC • Established the start-up strategy unit that drove the organizational redesign of the BC Government's Office of the Chief Information Officer, initiation of a digital framework for the Government of British Columbia, creation of a Digital Services Office in the BC Public Service, and hiring of BC's first Chief Digital Officer• Led the pivot of a failing multi-year, $1XXM "transformation" project to a path of greater user-centered design, transparency, cross-agency collaboration and agile delivery• Established the BC Government's first in-house digital services team while leading the modernization of the EAO's digital systems to enable greater transparency & information sharing and an enhanced approach to online public consultation

Route 2 is a strategy, design and delivery agency. We create relationships, solutions and experiences with positive impact. Project highlights:• Helping to negotiate and activate an innovative merger between Canada's largest health sector not-for-profit and a mission-focused NPO start-up, with the goal of supporting every child in Canada to achieve the holistic benefits of physical activity, every day. • Conceptualizing and producing the marketing campaign for Proctor & Gamble Canada's 2012 Beijing Summer Olympic Games activation. • Creating and implementing the recruitment campaign for Simon Fraser University's Community Economic Development program.• Advising the BC Government on the drafting of new legislation and policy. • Helping to build and launch a micro-lending firm.• Launching and advising a number of mission-focused not-for-profits.

November Project™ is a global fitness movement that uses free access, fun, accountability and fierce support of its members to motivate and encourage people of all ages, shapes, sizes and fitness levels to get out of their beds, get moving, get connected to their community and get in touch with their deepest potential, in sport and in life. November Project Victoria meets every Wednesday morning, rain or shine, at 6:29 a.m., in front of the Petting Zoo at Beacon Hill Park.

Airing on Victoria's CBC Radio 1 afternoon show, All Points West, Wild Isle introduced listeners to Vancouver Island's lesser-know - yet world-class - adventures and adventurers, sharing first person stories of these places and people from the field.

Responsible for post-Olympics new media strategies and implementation, community relations and forging ties with private sector partners for ActNow BC, the health promotion and social marketing branch of the BC Government's Ministry of Health Services (formerly Ministry of Healthy Living & Sport).

Provided legal and strategic advice to the Deputy Minister's Office, Office of the Premier. Work included project development, problem solving, change leadership and management, stakeholder engagement and communications. Specific files included public service transformation (including leading the design, build and management of a digital platform for the sharing and discussion of service and operations innovation ideas), the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, and employee communications & engagement.

Provided advice to the Office of the Assistant Deputy Attorney General, cross-appointed with the Office of the Premier.

Transcendens provided consulting services to sport-centric individuals and organizations including businesses, non-profit organizations and professional athletes. Services provided included business & media strategy, identity, communications, influence management and change leadership.
