Hi, I am Runar, and I am passionate about mountains, geography and technology. Ah, yes, and I don't mind people either.I am part of the Norwegian consulting firm Asplan Viak; under that banner, I have "ridden" into hundreds of projects in more than twenty countries in Europe and the Middle East. And, I have emerged richer in experience—and anecdotes. My ability to bridge people and technology has been a more sought after commodity than my depth, such as it is. That ability has grown out of more than twenty years of working in cross-sectoral disciplines.I usually approach problems from the starting point of GIS and information technology. But that being a versatile combination, I have become quite at home in many professions, including:• Spatial-, infrastructure- and transport planning• Natural resource and environmental management • Digital cultural heritage• Innovation and digitalization in agricultureI don't mind solving problems in and for their own sake. Still, more than that, I prefer to take on challenges and develop ideas together with people that I like professionally AND socially.Many of you who are connected to me here on LinkedIn already belong to that category.
