Defining requirements for new concept of yard handling equipment to mitigate reach stackers and cranes as a long term solution - ensuring design of blade and frames are enabling the new concept for the next generation GE offshore blade.• Representing the Manufacturing Equipment department towards the Next Generation Offshore blade Project.o Defining needed equipment interfaces and position on blade to cover all equipment and processes from demold to blade lifted on vessel. o D-FMEA for blade design.o P-FMEA for blade yard handling operation.• I brought a holistic overview to the teams discussions, and tried to bring down the siloes between blade, equipment and frame design.o Blade design limitations sets requirements for equipment.o Frame design savings on steel, leads to a difficult handling operation, which requires expert knowledge of operator.• Educating engineering colleagues and creating guidelines on how to use Reliasoft FMEA tool, for P-FMEA and D-FMEA.
