I was involved in all parts of the development life cycle for many components of the Apama product as well as internal tools and test suite. Programming was mainly done in C/C++, Java, Python and MonitorScript, a language native to the Apama platform. I also worked with professional services to adapt the system for customers and develop specialized functionality. After re-joining the company in 2004, I was responsible for customer support in addition to engineering, and helped transition the support systems when Apama was acquired by Progress in April 2005.The Apama product is a multi-threaded, multi-platform distributed system for high-speed, low-latency complex event filtering and processing. Events originate from any number of live sources.Apama has since been acquired by Software AG.
