As someone with M.E I'm known in my writing capacity as Runnin On Empty, I wrote a Column at my local newspaper for 9yrs with various sections that I created. It was also about tackling day to day life with M.E ,views on current news & general life observations and was written honestly with black comedic tone which is my general writing style . It had a global following, and hit number one most popular read every week. Unfortunately the newspaper hierarchy decided on change and had a massive clear out including all the bosses and those that had been at the heart of the paper and our community for 40/50 years, shortly afterwards I went to publish my column but it had gone and that's how I learnt that I had too. Seeing as it happened without notice , I stayed up all night, set up a website and wrote the Column, put notice out on social media and published it as usual , without a noticeable drop in views, loyal readers seem to like it here, so although it's no longer a Column, for the time being this is where I now rant and ramble about random stuff .

I believe words should be used to say something significant & that Rap/hip-hop was gifted so that true stories could be told & that's what I do. When it comes to my Music I prefer to leave the talking to the music. and the opinion to others. I'm honoured to be a member and small ant in the works of "Let’s do it for ME" a successful awareness and fundraising team that campaigns in support of the proposal by the independent non-profit UK-registered charity "Invest in ME" to develop a strategy and a centre of excellence for translational biomedical research, education and training for healthcare professionals, and care of patients with the neurological (neuroimmune) disease Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E) - the first of its kind in UK/Europe. At present I run the Twitter pageI have written two awareness tracks , both Free Downloads "I cant stand the rain"​ which is a rap twist on the classic Ann Peebles song, still getting good reviews and radio play, and the other "Don't Say Nuthin If It Ain't Worthwhile"​ where those who suffer with M.E were invited to send in pics of themselves with their mouths covered, to highlight the often misleading journalism and ignorance still surounding the illness. There was also a remix of "Don't Say Nuthin" to celebrate Invest In ME's 10th anniversary and Mays M.E Awareness month. At present I'm also managing their Twitter social media page.

Starting at 13 working weekends, after school and holidays. ,At 17 HQ handed me the keys, a wonderful opportunity for a teenager and I stayed for 18yrs self learning many of the skills needed, As well as shop staff there were also 20 school age staff to execute 20 paper rounds each morning. There was also the day to day running of a busy newsagents, and as manager I was responsible for wages, banking, ordering, stock taking, liaising with various companies regarding newspapers/magazines, lottery scratch cards, confectionary ,greetings cards, toys, gifts etc. As customer service plays a vital role in any business I enjoyed building up good relationships with the customers and making them feel special. There were also a number of elderly independent care homes in the area and many of the residents were lonely, so when they came to purchase something I'd often put the kettle on, make them a cuppa and pull up a chair for them . If the shop was too busy for me to have a little chat with them they could still chat with some of the other local customers and people watch and kill a little time while they drank their tea. We should, I believe, always find time for others no matter how busy our lives, it's still possible and can make a big impact on wellbeing and mental health within the community especially with older people. As someone with old school values I believe it is key within & out of the workplace for happiness, longevity and success .
