High Priority Communities Strategy (HPCS) is a provincially funded initiative intended to provide targeted support to 15 high risk neighbourhoods disproportionally affected by COVID-19. CMHA Peel Dufferin is one of six lead agencies in the Region of Peel identified to support HPCS, with a focus on the Southwest Mississauga area.• Developed culturally appropriate communication materials based on the needs of high risk populations, to drive awareness on COVID-19 public health measures, testing, vaccines, and other available supports• Stayed updated on relevant COVID-19 public health measures and communications from the government and public health units• Implemented social media, radio, newspaper, and outdoor advertising campaigns• Designed flyers, infographics, and other visuals for digital and print distribution• Wrote and edited copy for weekly e-newsletters, promotional materials, and social media• Collaborated with HPCS Community Health Ambassadors on outreach initiatives

Future Proofing Main Street is a program that assists businesses with identifying new markets, pivoting their business model, and developing and implementing a deep digital transformation plan.The program is meant as a detailed deep dive to support businesses and cultural organizations that require support in either transforming their business model or developing and implementing an advanced digital transformation plan.Building on valuable COVID-19 support measures from the federal government, and layering niche, added-value on to existing main street business programs and services this new program will help ‘future proof’ our small business drive our recovery. It will ensure main street firms are well equipped to maintain clients, jobs, and revenue in any economic storm, and continue to operate and grow in any climate.
