In this role I work in a team of Product Regulatory Affairs Leaders.Each team member is responsible for his/her dedicated products in order to ensure that Design Inputs cover all essential regulatory requirements of all the target markets. Product Regulatory Affairs Leaders are also responsible for developing, or conducting the development, of necessary documentation so that regulatory approval processes can be initiated, and that approvals and clearances are received for the products from the relevant authorities and other external formal stakeholders prior to marketing the products in their jurisdictions.

My legacy role as Compliance Manager from Instrumentarium Datex-Ohmeda engineering organization in Finland was deemed redundant to the similar role from the legacy Marquette engineering organization in US. These both companies were acquired by GE and thereafter we have had merged organizations for our shared product area of patient monitoring. After this organizational change I continue in a new assignment and will continue possess my previous official authority inspectable Job Description being Lead System Designer behind any business card titles at this professional level.In this new assignment I coordinate from engineering perspective the cross-functional Design Transfer life cycle stage activities of total Design Controls of New Product Introductions. The Design Transfer life cycle of an NPI program transfers a product design from Engineering into Operations prior to product release. The receivers within Operations include typically the Sourcing function for all Buy items, the Manufacturing Function for all the Make items, and the Installation and Service Engineering functions responsible for designing all the After Sales support activities that the company will offer for a new product release.In other words, it is all about initializing a huge copy machine to receive a new product into its operations.

In this position I coach and mentor engineers, managers and leaders in the subject matters, which are common to all product development programs. This position involves participation in GE Healthcare's global initiatives and programs, which drive for the development of new and changes to the existing processes and tools in order to facilitate company wide compliance to the new obligations from the emerging regulations and standards. Good influencing skills, engaging and suggesting attitude, team work ability, easy approachability and good spirit with healthy constructive critical perception and advocation to things are the keys to be successful in this position.
