Rupali Mehra is CMO and Head of Asia at Spowdi, a Swedish green-tech innovation company. She is also the founder of Content People AB, a strategic communications company specialising in communications strategy, storytelling, narratives, campaigns, events & workshops.Rupali brings with her over two decades pf industry experience across India and Sweden. She has worked with global media houses like Reuters, NDTV and Times Now. She has also executed projects for multilateral institutions like USAID, Nordic Council, Visit Sweden & consulting organisations like Dalberg. In India she helped media houses like Network 18 & Asianet Media with strategy & storytelling. Rupali’s work has been recognised in India and abroad. She has won the Commonwealth Vision Award, The Indian Television IT Award & was shortlisted for the New York Festival awards. Rupali has been invited to speak at various fora in India & Sweden. She has moderated panels involving government & civil society stakeholders on a host of issues, including gender, sustainability, youth and technology. Some of these have been the UN Women’s She Leads India summit, India-Sweden Business Day, Twitter & the Young Makers Conclave.Rupali hosts a regular talk show, Firstpost Conversations. She also writes for Swedish & Indian media houses including The Local, Huffington Post, Mint, Conde Nast & Governance Now. Prior to starting Content People AB, Rupali was Senior Editor & Anchor with Times Now, India’s biggest English news channel. She was part of the founding editorial team & in her nine plus years at the channel she led a host of teams including Special Projects, Features, News and On-air Promotions. In the later years, Rupali’s mandate was to steer the content strategy for the channel’s flagship shows & campaigns.
