Leading on the design and architecture of RBK’s Housing Systems Replacement (decommission) from on-premises to a modern cloud based provider and merging/integrating existing applications within the Council’s IT landscape, as part of their Digital Transformation Programme. Technical steer on functional and non-functional requirements to release requirements to COTS providers based on GCloud-13 framework, stakeholder alignment, product evaluations, implementation strategy, desired-state architecture, technology roadmap and decision support for Board members. Review at an Enterprise scale, all core and satellite systems besides Housing Systems, integrations, application and server dependencies, configuration analyses and proposing a phased application modernisation, migration and cloud adoption roadmap. Engagement with Technical Design Authority and Stakeholder group to identify inefficient business processes, proposing and designing cost-effective cloud enabled workloads.

Accountable for the full end-to-end cross-system design for the RAC Website rebuild project, contributing to estimates and impact assess financial and system impact to changes during the life of the project. Commercial awareness so that solutions proposed are cost-effective and represent best value for the organisation with responsibility for cost and time estimates. Working with stakeholders and other architect in shaping the overall project to best meet business strategy whilst evolving the architecture towards the target. Creation and evolution of principles, patterns, best practice and other artefacts to assist in design and decision making. Provide day to day guidance and timely technical decision making during the design phase of the project. Encouraging and enabling re-use of design artefacts and solution elements, and contributing to technology patterns, principles and best practices. Responsibility for maintaining knowledge and understanding of RAC’s technical estate so as to better deliver value.
