I am an Operations Manager for Older Peoples Services in Warwickshire County Council responsible for the delivery of Social Work (Assessment & Case management) and have had a variety of lead roles for example extra care housing, continuing healthcare and inclusion, equality & diversity. I represent the Council at independent review panels within NHS England.I also represent the council and Social care & support national events organised by the Community Led Support programme (National development team for inclusion) to support other authorities on their equivalent ‘Start with Strengths’ journeys and to share practice examples with relevant parts of the council to continue to build on our current approach, philosophy and model.I was seconded to Hospital Social Care Teams between 2015-2016 in Warwickshire to oversee all operational complex discharges which required Adult Social Care support, including those needing CHC assessment/DSTs. The role included supporting three acute hospitals in county, community hospitals and all out of county hospitals. I have also managed the council’s Occupational Therapy service.I work positively with Strategic Commissioning & Resources colleagues to represent Social Care & Support and co-produce policies procedure or new service principles. I am responsible for human resources, budget forecasting and line management staff and services, investigation of complaints, working with elected representatives as required and link to NHS senior managers across three CCGs and Trusts.
